Position Details

• Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly
• Department: Production / Quality
• Reports To: Production Supervisor
• Work Schedule: Varies by plant

Position Summary

A Production Line Worker I is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a glass recycling facility.

Responsibilities

• Process and sort materials through a production line, which may require standing.
• Maintain material flow and ensure quality by routine checks on optical sorters and screens.
• Clean specific zones including conveyors, sorters, platforms, stairs, screens, and floors.
• Wear appropriate PPE as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures (5S).
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Identify quality issues and communicate with supervisors.
• Identify equipment issues and report them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Physical Abilities

• Motor coordination, standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, grasping, repetitive movements.

Education and Experience

Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, heights, dust/fumes, and uneven terrain. Use of PPE required.
