Job summary

Sortera Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Line Operator in Markle, IN to manage the production line, ensure safe operation, and maintain high-quality output.

The role requires the ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues and follow safety protocols while coordinating with a supervisor about disruptions. Typical duties include operating and monitoring machinery, weighing materials, logging downtime, and leading co-workers in the production flow.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to troubleshoot obvious machine issues independently.
• Basic math skills for weighing materials and documenting data.
• Experience operating conveyor-fed machinery or handling recycled materials is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and to sit, bend, and reach during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors production line to ensure safe, efficient running.
• Clears jams, weighs finished materials, and documents weights and downtime.
• Communicates issues to supervisor and assists with process flow leadership.
