Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production line operator to work closely with helpers, lead operators and supervisors to keep the line running and produce acceptable quality products for customers.

The role emphasizes safety, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and adherence to procedures within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be able to read orders, use hand tools, and work with various PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to calibrate machines and understand different systems.
• Ability to wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other PPE as required).
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Knowledge in navigating different computer programs.
• Ability to communicate with other employees.
• Language skills: reading and comprehending simple instructions and memos; effective communication.
• Mathematical skills: basic arithmetic and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety, quality and attendance policies.
• Maintain operation of designated line.
• Take ownership of the line when down and restore production quickly.
• Keep work area clean and equipment in good order by end of shift.
• Enter key information into the computer system and manage paperwork.
• Understand equipment processes and operating parameters.
• Perform adjustments to machines as required for orders or troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot issues to manufacture quality products that meet order specs.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
