What does it mean to be a Prysmian Production Line Operator?
Monitor plastic extrusion or stranding lines while running to ensure quality/timely production of cables.
Perform machine startups, changeovers and operator preventative maintenance as required.
Perform required measurement checks to ensure cables are manufactured to quality specifications.
Proactively report any production shortfalls, quality nonconformances, and equipment issues swiftly.
Follow all safety, personal protective equipment, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
12 months Manufacturing, Service or Warehouse experience.
Ability to pass the Skills Test with favorable results.
Must be able to successfully complete the background check and pre-employment drug testing.
Ability to visually distinguish 12 basic colors.
Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working up to 12 hours per shift.
Loading and unloading of materials as needed with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Manual rolling of reels between 200 and 800 lbs. for short distances with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate proficiency of simple calculations and use of all required measurement tools (Calipers, Measuring Tape, Thickness Gages).
Ability to have full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers for manipulation of product and work equipment.
