Job summary

kdc/one Groveport seeks a Production Line Leader to oversee the filling and packaging line, training and guiding a team to maintain quality and on-time production.

You will manage day-to-day operations, ensure safety, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across shifts. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or production experience, OR 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with FDA cGMPs, OSHA safety, SOPs, SAP, and HMI systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform long periods of standing/walking.
• Work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise.
• Strong communication and leadership across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees to meet shift goals with consistency and quality.
• Train team members on SOPs, WIs, good housekeeping, and safety protocols.
• Track scrap with precision and ensure proper disposal.
• Record production documentation and finished goods in SAP.
• Perform ongoing quality checks, appearance, torque, and weight.
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional departments on projects and changeovers.
• Investigate failures or deviations and uncover starting causes.
• Keep line and crew tidy, compliant, and ready.
• Promote safety and lead by example in adherence to OSHA, GMP, and company policies.
• Be a strong communicator and a trusted team leader across shifts.
