Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company is seeking a Production Line Leader to oversee a line in our Assembly and Contract Packaging plant. The role drives productivity, quality, and safety on second or third shift with overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include line setup, inventory control, training temporary staff, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and CGMPs. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication with management and team.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to perform tasks under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• General fluency in English, verbal and written.
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a production line and ensure productivity and quality.
• Set up line or assist with line set-up as needed.
• Manage inventory and reconcile product/components.
• Supervise temporary staff and train them as needed.
• Monitor production flow, troubleshoot, adjust equipment, improve line.
• Motivate staff to maintain line efficiency and meet goals.
• Ensure finished product meets specs and record quality checks.
• Maintain production paperwork and labor hours in the system.
• Maintain line cleanliness and safety adherence.
• Coordinate with warehouse, maintenance, and QA as needed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
