Job summary

Fm Industries in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Production Line Assembler 1 to assemble parts, ribbons, and dowel pins on repetitive components from simple to complex. You will follow procedures, read blueprints, and use pneumatic and electric tools while ensuring quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Two years production assembly or related experience.
• Ability to read and understand basic to complex assembly instructions.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and use of PPE.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with production lead and supervisor.
• Follow instructions and shop procedures.
• Ensure a correct Traveler goes with all work orders.
• Aid other personnel as needed.
• Operate a variety of pneumatic and electric power tools.
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
• Follow blueprint or instructions to achieve required surface finishes.
• Ensure company procedures and 'Best Know Methods' are followed.
• Install parts into production assemblies.
• Report all material shortages to Production Supervisor.
• Verify conformity of finished parts to specifications and part drawings prior to hardware installation.
• Label and isolate non-conforming material.
• Perform preventative maintenance and other related duties.
