Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation is seeking an Assembler I in Reynoldsburg, OH to support production through precise mechanical assembly, reading blueprints, and using hand tools. You will inspect parts, lay out work, and ensure assemblies meet tight tolerances while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic math, tool knowledge, and the ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment; overtime may be needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have blueprint reading knowledge.
• Must have knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and transits.
• Some knowledge of welding steel, aluminum and stainless steel desirable.
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available).
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Team player - must be able to work with others.
• Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blue prints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Locate parts and hardware as needed and perform part inspection before assembly.
• Layout work and assemble products, shim, grind, and set dimensions.
• Assemble larger parts to maintain working order and disassemble for shipping as needed.
• Touch up paint, clean up, and prepare for shipping.
• Document actions of final assemblies by completing production and quality forms.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notify supervisor for resources.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work overtime including weekends/holidays.
