Job summary

SP Associates, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking a Production Manager to oversee extrusion and fiber spinning operations.

This leader will supervise production supervisors and hourly employees, driving safety, quality, and efficient production. The role requires strong leadership in textile manufacturing, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and commercial teams to resolve issues and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in textile, fiber, extrusion, or related manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of extrusion equipment, processes, and controls.
• Experience managing production supervisors and hourly teams; union experience preferred.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and improve performance.
• Effective communication, organizational, and employee development skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and build productive relationships.
• Proficiency with production monitoring systems and standard computer applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Manage production supervisors and hourly employees across manufacturing and related support functions.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and commercial teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Monitor process conditions and equipment performance; troubleshoot problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, attendance, performance management, and employee development.
• Coordinate training and cross-training to strengthen workforce capabilities.
• Enforce EH&S and quality procedures while maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Support process trials, continuous improvement initiatives, and SOP implementation.
• Maintain accurate production and personnel records.
