Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Manager in Aurora, IL to oversee daily plant operations, coordinate with Supervisors, and ensure safety, quality, and cost controls. Responsibilities include directing production, managing budgets, and maintaining productivity while leading cross-departmental efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong communication, planning and training skills to drive continuous improvement and team development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong ability to read, write and communicate with all staff levels.
• Ability to develop policies, programs and reports for customers.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Directs all production activities via Production Supervisors and interdepartmental coordination.
• Manage department budget and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure implementation of Quality Management System and safety programs.
• Lead daily production meetings and communicate with other departments.
• Approve operating procedures and monitor labor and material variances.
• Train and develop production personnel and oversee staffing.
