We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Lead Operator to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety rules, including proper use of PPE; report safety issues promptly.
  • Oversee daily production, assign tasks, and motivate the team to meet goals.
  • Ensure production targets for output, quality, and efficiency are consistently met.
  • Train new team members and support ongoing skill development.
  • Perform quality checks and report any issues to the Production Manager and Quality Team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist with smooth line changeovers to reduce downtime.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in line with SOPs.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and be available for overtime as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
  • Support overall production goals by performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of production machinery, tools, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
