Grounded RV in Detroit, MI is hiring a Production Manager to own the floor and the build schedule for modular electric platforms. You will translate CAD into actionable work instructions and serve as the bridge to engineering, ensuring smooth daily operation on the shop floor.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring CAD fluency, relentless follow-through, and strong leadership to drive projects from concept to finish in a startup setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running or coordinating production in a physical build environment.
• Fluent CAD ability, NX preferred; capable of turning CAD into 2D drawings/work instructions.
• Relentless follow-through, able to push for closure and meet deadlines every day.
• High-energy, able to handle intense pace and never-stop schedule.
• Strong floor leadership, clear communication, and backing up the team.

Responsibilities

• Own all build schedules end to end: sequence vehicles, set daily targets, track progress, hold teams to dates.
• Be the first point of contact for technician questions on parts, drawings, and CAD-to-work instructions.
• Create and maintain work instruction drawings from engineering CAD (Siemens NX) for every assembly.
• Lead daily floor drumbeat: status reviews, anticipate delays, unblock issues immediately.
• Serve as the two-way channel between floor and engineering; push manufacturability feedback into design and drive fixes.
• Walk the floor constantly, work standing beside vehicles, not behind a desk.
• Improve build processes: better documentation, sequences, and handoffs.
