Job summary

Pacific Recycling, Inc. seeks a Production Lead for our metal recycling facility in Eugene, Oregon. The role oversees daily plant operations, leads a production team, and drives maintenance activities while ensuring safety and quality across all processes.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a mechanical/industrial setting and demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical/industrial environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within an industrial setting.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations of plant equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
• Hands-on, lead and delegate all plant maintenance activities.
• Train new employees on procedures, equipment usage, safety regulations, and job responsibilities.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular inspections of materials, equipment, and finished products to ensure quality.
• Enforce quality control measures and address non-conformances promptly.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Ensure environmental compliance and waste management adherence.
• Maintain accurate production records (volumes, downtime, inventory).
• Generate reports on productivity, quality and safety metrics.
• Communicate updates to management on production activities and challenges.
