States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Department Lead to partner with the Production Supervisor and other managers to hit goals in productivity, quality, delivery, and safety. You will train staff, direct department work, and drive efficiency on the production floor.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on guidance, and a commitment to a positive work environment, with a schedule of Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm and a focus on continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production lead role.
• Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem solver and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of general industry OSHA standards.
• Ability to pass background and drug tests prior employment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Lead and train hourly teams and manage work assignments on the production floor.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to meet customer demand and schedule.
• Enforce standardized work, instructions, and procedures; relay updates promptly.
• Monitor quality output and address non-conformances with the Supervisor.
• Ensure safety compliance and report issues immediately.
• Track daily defects, scrap, and lost time and report them.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Identify and support process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead by example and communicate effectively with hourly teams and management.
