Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. is seeking a working lead in the galvanizing area in Iowa to oversee 10 employees and ensure timely production of galvanized products. You will read work orders, assign tasks, and train staff on the Skill-Based Pay process.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient operations with heavy equipment like forklifts and cranes. A background in galvanizing and manufacturing leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience using forklifts and cranes required.
• Prior galvanizing experience highly preferred.
• Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of 10 employees and manage job orders.
• Read work orders or instructions to determine work assignments and material needs.
• Train and assess employees’ competencies in the Skill-Based Pay process.
• Inspect all material before galvanizing to meet Sabre safety and quality guidelines.
• Ensure galvanized products meet Sabre quality requirements and promote efficiency.
• Operate heavy equipment in racking area, such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Move materials to/from storage or production areas and attach identifying tags.
