Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC seeks a Production Lead to oversee key production equipment, guide a line of operators, and drive safety, quality and efficiency on the shift. You will lead start-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting with maintenance, while ensuring GMP compliance and product quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, the ability to train new staff, delegate tasks, and maintain high morale on rotating schedules.

Formación

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Food production experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, supervision and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shift schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Guide team to safety, quality, production and cost goals.
• Operate and maintain key production equipment: fryers, packaging, seasoning, printers and labelers.
• Collaborate with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Train new and existing team members on equipment operation.
• Support shift production scheduling: start-ups, changeovers and shutdowns.
• Monitor product quality and enforce GMP and food safety.
• Fill in for vacancies and provide coverage as needed.
• Work cross-functionally with operators, maintenance, and supervisors.
