Kings Mountain, North Carolina-based Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Production Lead to oversee key production equipment, train staff, and support troubleshooting to hit production goals. The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams for safety, quality, and efficiency.

The position offers a rotating shift schedule and opportunities to advance within a well-established snack foods company.

Formación

• Inspire and motivate the team to meet production goals and morale.
• Delegate tasks effectively to maximize team contribution.
• Work independently and as part of a team with a proactive attitude.
• Experience in manufacturing; food production preferred.
• Juggle multiple responsibilities (monitoring, training, troubleshooting).
• Forklift certification required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read production schedules.
• Lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsabilidades

• Guide your team to achieve goals around Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost.
• Operate and maintain key production equipment (fryers, packaging, seasoning, printers, labelers).
• Work with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Train new and existing team members to operate equipment.
• Help execute the shift production schedule, including start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns.
• Monitor product quality and enforce GMP/food safety requirements.
• Fill in for vacancies and cover critical positions as needed.
• Collaborate with machine operators, maintenance staff, and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly.
