Job summary

Tropicale Foods, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities, coordinate with QA, sanitation, warehouse, and operations, and ensure timely manufacturing of quality products. You will direct a team, assign tasks, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement on the line.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and ability to train staff on food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing or supervising employees in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to train on food safety, food quality, regulatory requirements, safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below.
• Education: High school diploma or GED or 4–5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs and complete required records.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages activities directly related to the daily business and department needs.
• Develops, analyzes, and delivers information to direct reports.
• Provide immediate supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and maintaining schedules.
• Mentors and leads production associates.
• Ensure associates are trained for and compliant with all applicable operations.
• Assigns duties based on daily department needs and maintains schedules.
• Ensures quality products are produced and department metrics are achieved.
• Communicates daily schedules and quality concerns between shifts.
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data and identifying solutions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through trainings.
• Safeguards company equipment and PPE, and participates in safety investigations.
