Where You'll Work
This position is located at our Canal Street manufacturing facility in Milwaukee, WI.
When You'll Work
This 3rd shift position works 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM at our Canal Street manufacturing facility in Milwaukee.
What You'll Do
As a Processing Line Lead, you'll be the hands-on leader responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of one assigned processing line. You'll keep your line organized, your team on task, and production moving safely and efficiently.
You Will
- Provide hands-on leadership and daily direction to employees assigned to your processing line
- Keep your line running safely and efficiently while working to achieve the daily production schedule
- Assign and position team members based on production needs and communicate staffing concerns to the Production Supervisor
- Promote and reinforce people safety, food safety, quality, GMPs, and standard operating procedures
- Monitor product flow, material usage, waste, downtime, and overall line performance
- Train and coach team members on proper procedures and performance expectations
- Help coordinate line start-ups, changeovers, shutdowns, and product transitions
- Identify production or equipment issues, troubleshoot when appropriate, and elevate mechanical concerns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance
- Communicate line performance, downtime, staffing needs, and other issues to the Production Supervisor
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Step in and work alongside the team when needed to keep production moving
Why You'll Be Successful
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Previous experience as a Line Lead, Production Lead, Team Lead, or similar manufacturing leadership role
- Experience providing day-to-day direction and support to employees on a manufacturing or production line
- A strong commitment to employee safety, food safety, and product quality
- The ability to organize people and priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and the ability to recognize when mechanical issues need to be escalated
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- The ability to hold team members accountable for safety, quality, and production expectations
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside your team when needed
