Olympic Steel is seeking a Production Lead (1st Shift) to manage loading/unloading, verify all paperwork, and assist with quality checks for outgoing material. The role also involves coordinating material transports between buildings using overhead cranes and yard equipment.
You will serve as the safety liaison on the warehouse floor, communicating production needs, guiding a diverse team, and helping train other employees to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with safety protocols.

The Production Lead (1st Shift) will be responsible for loading/unloading material for incoming and outgoing shipment and verifying all necessary paperwork is completed. They will assist with quality checks and completing all necessary paperwork for outgoing material. Also, they will assist in the transport of materials between buildings, utilizing overhead cranes, yard trucks, etc. and communicate production needs based on shipment schedule. The Production Lead also acts as the safety liaison while on the warehouse floor.
