The Production Lead role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the syrup making process, working in conjunction with the shift supervisor to meet all Safety, Quality, and Production metrics. The Production Lead will oversee a team of 20 to 25 associates, conduct pre-shift meetings, set daily directions, and ensure adherence to quality checks. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate, lead people, identify and suggest improvement opportunities, and provide relevant facts, policies, and practices related to the job area to associates and across shifts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- Typically requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in manufacturing required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Manufacturing experience or knowledge preferred
- Computer literate – MS Office, SAP
- Understanding of manufacturing equipment and basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities

- Decision-making skills with limited information
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and tools
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Three (3) years of production control experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry, or five (5) years of relevant experience in a high-volume environment such as receiving, material ordering, operations leadership, or line leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures for equipment, including safety regulations
- Mathematical skills including decimals, fractions, basic arithmetic, percentages, and basic statistical analysis
- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process, equipment, and facility issues
- Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to support cross-functional teams for continuous improvement or corrective actions
- Satisfactory score on pre-employment testing, if applicable
