Job summary

Shawsheen Coating and Converting in Andover, MA, seeks an experienced Production Lead to manage daily operations on the coating and converting lines. You will coordinate production, mentor operators, and drive safety and quality standards on the factory floor.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and hands-on leadership to keep materials, equipment, and personnel moving efficiently while meeting customer specs and ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on leadership or senior-operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in coating, converting, web handling, textiles, adhesives, or similar manufacturing is a plus.
• Practical experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, or similar manufacturing software.
• Working knowledge of ISO quality systems, product specifications, and production quality checks.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to help resolve day-to-day production issues.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and digital production-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production across the Coating and Converting Departments to keep work safe, efficient, and on schedule.
• Serve as a go-to resource for operators, helping with job setups, material flow, and production bottlenecks.
• Use the company ERP system to track job progress, material usage, schedules, and production data.
• Help coordinate raw materials and finished inventory to reduce downtime and prevent shortages.
• Train, mentor, and support machine operators on safe procedures, production standards, and quality expectations.
• Monitor workflow and communicate production issues, risks, or delays to supervisors and management.
• Follow and reinforce company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and PPE requirements.
• Perform quality checks and help ensure products meet customer specifications and ISO quality standards.
• Support basic mechanical troubleshooting, 5S housekeeping, trial runs, new-product introductions, and continuous improvement.

Shawsheen Coating and Converting seeks an experienced, hands-on Production Lead to join our team in Andover, MA.

If you enjoy leading from the production floor, helping operators solve problems, and keeping people, materials, and equipment moving safely and efficiently, this is an opportunity to take on a key role in Shawsheen's daily manufacturing operations.

The Production Lead supports the Coating and Converting Departments, working with supervisors to keep production on schedule, maintain strong safety and quality standards, train team members, and address day-to-day production issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT WE OFFER.

• $30-$35 per hour based on experience.
• Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
