Job Summary
U-Mix Products Company is looking for a high performing, reliable individual to join our team. A production laborer operates production bagging equipment to produce products for U-Mix Products.

Starting wage of $22.00 per hour. *DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
2. Sets up, adjusts and operates bagging machines to mix product according to specifications.
3. Operation of filling systems to process orders according to department standards.
4. Organizes and inventories warehoused goods as needed; maintains an inventory of shrink wrap film and pallets for production.
5. Assures safety devices are in proper working order, used and in place.
6. Performs job according to safety/environmental rules and regulations.
7. Operates a forklift to move product.
8. Maintains the plant area in a clean and orderly manner.
9. Monitors and operates pertinent equipment for the wrapping of U-Mix concrete products.
10. Coordinates storage with plant staff.
11. Removes waste material and waste product from plant area.
12. Assures product quality by assisting with maintenance and repairs of pertinent equipment.
13. Performs daily inspections and reports maintenance that may be required or performs minor repairs.
14. Assures plant area is clean.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
• One year of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience/knowledge is helpful.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to become forklift certified in a reasonable period of time after hire.

Other Qualifications:

• Must have safety awareness and the ability to assure work is performed according to department safety standards.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Must maintain a good attendance record.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Must have general labor skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to follow directions.
• General warehousing skills are helpful.
• Ability to follow supervisory directions and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
