Job summary

Select Event Group Inc. in Laurel, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the Tent, Structure and Flooring division's production, inventory and supplier coordination.

You will build systems to track production, analyze internal vs external fabrication, and drive revenue through effective manufacturing operations. Reporting to the VP, Performance and Analysis and the Operations teams, you’ll plan production, forecast labor, control quality and safety, and mentor a diverse team across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with CAD software and vinyl welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and accountability related to the manufacturing team.
• Meet production deadlines which will be set in collaboration with VP, P&A.
• Communicate with operations managers as items are completed and placed into inventory.
• Produce and maintain database of flame certs as items are completed.
• Build database of time and labor costs for each item produced.
• Build database of product specs utilizing internal CAD capabilities for each item produced.
• Participate in production planning to ensure alignment with the large production plan.
• Work with vendors to receive favourable pricing for all parts.
• Purchase materials in accordance with the budget and communicate deviations.
• Labor forecasting and planning annually, quarterly, monthly.
• Meet or exceed labor targets and manage crew assignments.
• Cross‑training of direct reports for succession planning.
• Evaluate personnel for job performance and development.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies.
