Job summary

The Production Home Assembler position at Cavco Industries Inc. is based in Rocky Mount, VA, where you will follow work orders to accurately assemble building components on a factory line.

You will operate hand and power tools, frame and build floors and walls, install wiring, apply finishes, and install siding, doors and windows while protecting safety and quality in a fast paced outdoor/indoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic construction knowledge; comfortable using common tools.
• Ability to read blueprints (a plus).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Willingness to transfer between departments when necessary.
• Good communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to complete carpentry tasks.
• Frame, layout and build floors and walls.
• Layout, run and install electrical lines, switches, and panels.
• Install siding, windows and doors; paint interior/exterior surfaces.
• Complete roof construction, decking, flashing and shingles.
• Install cabinets and trim; finish carpentry as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and cooperate with team members.
