Job Description: Manufacturing Group Leader

We are seeking a Group Leader to oversee our production operations, ensuring maximum quality and profitability. Responsibilities include supervising employees, managing work assignments, monitoring attendance, administering policies, supporting corrective actions, checking work quality, and conducting performance evaluations.

The ideal candidate will be highly competent in complex operations, capable of optimizing daily activities while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote a "Safety Always Culture", 5S workplace standards, effective communication, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor PPE compliance among team members.
• Provide leadership and support to all assigned personnel.
• Manage work assignments, direct tasks, and help achieve quality and production goals.
• Evaluate employee productivity and performance timely and accurately.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels for normal operations.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop standardized work procedures.
• Identify and eliminate waste through process improvements.
• Adhere to all HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct monthly attendance audits.
• Promote and comply with EHS policies proactively.
• Develop team skills through coaching, training, and performance correction.
• Ensure completion of all training and learning modules on time.
• Maintain open communication within the department and with other units.
• Engage with other manufacturing and quality groups.
• Use KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Analyze data and report findings to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Engineering/Technical Degree (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or Business Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 2-3 years in manufacturing (Preferred)
• Previous leadership experience (Preferred)

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing.
• Capability to climb ladders/stairs multiple times per shift.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, walking, or crouching.
• Lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Visual acuity for close vision and focus adjustment.
