The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Production Group Lead (Supervisor) for a Food Manufacturing facility near Orrville, OH. This is a 2nd shift role (3pm–12am), Mon–Fri, with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ Years of Manufacturing Leadership with direct reports.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing and understanding of GMP/SQF/Food Safety standards.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work area teams follow the continuous improvement framework in safety, food safety quality and productivity during Daily Management Meetings.
• Develop a culture of accelerated continuous improvement using standard work, problem solving and decision making at the execution level.
• Ensure appropriate implementation and management of Safety and Food Safety Quality GMPs.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations in safety and food safety quality.
• Support team leader in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
• Prioritize top improvement goals and coordinate with shared services like maintenance, scheduling, and supply chain.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through prioritization, problem solving and empowerment.
• Collaborate with HR and Plant Manager on annual training and skill development.
• Work with Operations, Quality, Sanitation and other leaders to improve safety, food safety quality and equipment uptime.

Our client is currently seeking a Production Group Lead (Supervisor) for their Food Manufacturing facility near Orrville OH. This company is an Industry Leader & one of the most recognizable brand names in the Industry. This is a 2nd Shift position (3pm - 12am) working Mon - Fri. No weekend shifts are required. The Group Leader will oversee the manufacturing & plant operations on a shift basis with direct responsibility for specific work teams & larger projects receiving support & direction from the Operations Manager in compliance with food safety, quality & regulatory requirements. This position is also responsible for developing the culture through coaching/supporting the work area team structure. The ideal candidate will have strong Leadership & People Management skills along with a good understanding of manufacturing processes in a SQF/cGMP environment

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Ensure work area teams follow the continuous improvement framework in the areas of Safety, Food Safety Quality & Productivity when conducting Daily Management Meetings
• Develop a culture of accelerated continuous improvement utilizing standard work, problem identification, A3 problem solving, and decision making at the level of execution
• Ensure appropriate implementation & management of Safety & Food Safety Quality GMP’s
• Ensure that we adhere to all state and federal regulations in the areas of safety and food safety quality
• Support team leader in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures
• Prioritize and manage top improvement goals and projects to ensure appropriate support from shared services like preventative maintenance, scheduling, and supply chain
• Develop and execute a culture of continuous improvement through use of clear prioritization, problem solving and empowerment
• In conjunction with the Human Resources Department and Plant Manager, develop and execute annual training and skill development with associates
• Collaborate with all areas of Operations, Quality, Sanitation, and all leaders to execute priorities including improvements to safety, food safety quality and uptime of equipment

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 3+ Years of Manufacturing Leadership Expereince w/ Direct Reports
• Food Manufacturing Exprience needed. Understanding of GMP / SQF / Food Safety Standards
• Strong leadership & people management skills.
