Job summary

GM Saginaw is seeking a Production Group Leader to manage up to 40 hourly employees across shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with team leaders, review rotation logs, and maintain thorough shift documentation.

Responsibilities include applying lean principles, meeting production schedules, training and developing staff, and ensuring adherence to National and Local UAW agreements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Nice to have union environment experience.
• Nice to have prior leadership experience.
• Must be able to report out to upper leadership and meet metrics.

Responsibilities

• As Production Group Leader, manage personnel, material and equipment to meet production goals.
• Lead with lean manufacturing/synchronous principles and coach hourly teams.
• Document daily activities and maintain shift-end logs; communicate with next shift.
• Promote safe work practices and uphold quality standards and audits.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, union and management.
