Job summary

Pure Flavor in Romulus, MI is seeking a Production Forklift Operator to load, unload, and move product and packaging. You will support the supply chain by staging stock and ensuring accurate shipments for production.

The role requires forklift experience, GMP/food safety awareness, and strict adherence to safety policies. Day-to-day duties include inventory rotation, equipment inspection, and communicating issues to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years forklift experience; forklift certification preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to adhere to security and safety procedures; excellent driving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to remain focused and show good judgement; English proficiency.
• Steel-toed shoes required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift or hand truck to stage, count, sort and move shipments.
• Ensure a constant supply to the production floor; rotate and organize inventory using FIFO.
• Examine shipment contents and verify against records; place shipments to designated location.
• Communicate with Production Supervisor about quality issues or shortages.
• Maintain a clean work area; remove pallets and related waste.
• Daily forklift inspection and report damages or issues.
• Comply with SOPs, GMPs, Food Safety and Health and Safety policies.
• Perform other tasks as defined by the company.
