Job summary

OSI Group in Illinois is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for moving raw materials and finished products between production, storage, and docks using a riding pallet jack or forklift.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of related experience. Candidates should be able to follow verbal instructions and proficiently use Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials from storage to production using a riding pallet jack or forklift.
• Move finished products from the production line to the dock area.
• Transfer finished products to freezer as required.
• Offload delivered raw materials to storage area and organize per facility specs.
• Stack and organize pallets; maintain a clean work area.
• Comply with safety, food safety, GMP and workplace policies.
• Understand and apply safety procedures; use protective equipment as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Remove empty combos and garbage pallets from department.
• Complies with facility and organizational policies governing workplace conduct, workplace safety, food safety, good manufacturing practices and any other operational policies as established.
• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Work Environment

• Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
• Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.
• This role does not require any domestic travel
• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
• Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.

Compensation/Benefits We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $21.50 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
