Job summary

Porvair Filtration Group is hiring a Production Floater in Boise, ID. The role moves between different workstations on the production line, performing tasks to maintain flow, ensure quality, and support labor needs.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role and be capable of quickly learning new processes. The position requires basic reading of technical drawings, strong problem-solving ability, and willingness to follow QMS protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Press Operator I or similar.
• Proficiency in operating or adjusting press machines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to learn and follow quality management system (QMS) protocols.

Responsibilities

• Multi-task across departments: assembly, packaging, quality checks, machine operation, material handling.
• Rotate stations on the production floor to fill gaps or assist with high-volume periods.
• Learn multiple processes and equipment across production areas.
• Perform quality checks at different stages to ensure standards.
• Assist with set-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE properly.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or General Manager.

• Multi-task across departments: Perform tasks like assembly, packaging, quality checks, machine operation, material handling, depending on where needed within the production line.
• Rotate stations: Move between different workstations on the production floor to fill gaps or assist with high-volume production periods.
• Learn multiple processes: Acquire a strong understanding of various manufacturing processes and equipment operation across different production areas to be reviewed and approved by process lead/manager.
• Quality control: Perform quality checks on products at different stages of production to ensure adherence to standards.
• Assist with tasks like set-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
• Follow safety guidelines: Adhering to all safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager and/or General Manager.
