Job summary

Smosh is seeking a Financial Operations Clerk to support the day-to-day financial operations, including payroll for project-based employees, production accounting, and vendor payments. You will maintain financial records, manage reimbursement workflows, and assist with audits and reporting in a fast-paced production environment.

Reports to the Financial Operations Specialist. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting or payroll, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and a proven ability to keep

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, production accounting, or related administrative role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with CASHet or P-Card reconciliation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Project-Based Payroll: Data entry for project-based payroll, assist timecard entry and troubleshooting.
• Reimbursements & Accounts Payable: Process reimbursements and mileage requests, coordinate vendor documentation and payment requests.
• P-Card Reconciliation: Assist with production accounting, CASHet proofing, expense tracking, and reconciliation.
• Data Management & Financial Logs: Maintain financial trackers, invoices, reimbursement records, and department logs.
• Audits & Reporting: Collect and organize information for budgets, audits, and reporting.
• Administrative Support: Maintain SOPs, shared resources, and department docs; assist with admin tasks and initiatives.
