Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced finance professional to assist in processing financial transactions, maintain records, and support budgeting and forecasting. You will generate reports, collaborate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure compliance across all finance activities.

The role requires strong data analytics in Excel, experience with Oracle and Coupa, and a minimum of seven years of work experience. This is a senior finance-focused position based in Sacramento, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience.
• Software: Oracle and Coupa, experience with clients and profits.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions (AP, AR, expense reimbursements) in line with policies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and data integrity.
• Generate financial reports, summaries and analyses for the finance team.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with managers.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, controls, and regulations.
• Assist ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions: Assist in processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reimbursements, in compliance with company policies and procedures. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring the integrity and completeness of financial data. Reporting: Generate and prepare financial reports, summaries, and analysis as required by the finance team, providing insights into financial performance. Budget Support: Collaborate with finance managers to provide support in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial plans. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve finance-related inquiries and discrepancies. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements in all financial transactions and processes. Financial Support: Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and tasks, providing support to the finance team as needed.
