Job summary

Sonoco Products Company is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead safety, quality, and productivity at a Wisconsin plant. You will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and develop staff while ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations.

The role reports to the Plant Manager, focuses on on-time delivery and cost performance, and requires coordinating scheduling, training, and employee relations across a diverse workforce. A strong safety mindset and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven safety leadership.
• Comfortable public speaking and training large groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all employees; lead a comprehensive safety program.
• Develop subordinates through education, training, and teamwork.
• Coordinate production scheduling to meet customer demands and manage overtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, lean manufacturing).
• Hire, train, and mentor staff; address employee relations issues as needed.
