F. Clayton Plecker and Sons, Inc. is hiring for full-time Production Excavator Operator roles on grading and heavy highway crews in Virginia. You will operate dozers, excavators, motor graders, and rollers, using GPS machine-control alongside an experienced crew.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating heavy equipment (grading experience preferred).
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to finish grade.
• Perform daily walk-around inspections and basic maintenance.
• Read grade stakes and work with GPS machine-control systems.
• Coordinate with foremen, grade checkers, and truck drivers on site.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll operate dozers, excavators, motor graders, and rollers on grading and heavy highway projects across Virginia. Our operators work with modern, well-maintained equipment - much of it GPS machine-control equipped - alongside experienced crews who take pride in doing the job right and going home safe.
