Job summary

F. Clayton Plecker and Sons, Inc. is hiring for full-time Production Excavator Operator roles on grading and heavy highway crews in Virginia. You will operate dozers, excavators, motor graders, and rollers, using GPS machine-control alongside an experienced crew.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating heavy equipment (grading experience preferred).
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Reliable, safety-minded, willing to work outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to finish grade.
• Perform daily walk-around inspections and basic maintenance.
• Read grade stakes and work with GPS machine-control systems.
• Coordinate with foremen, grade checkers, and truck drivers on site.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety practices.
