Job summary

OSI Group is seeking an on-site Production Operator in Wisconsin Fort Atkinson. You will oversee the production line, load and unload materials, and ensure sanitation at the end of each shift.

The role requires basic mechanical understanding and adherence to safety and GMP standards. You will work with maintenance to implement preventive maintenance programs, monitor equipment performance, and record process data.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to read and follow a designated recipe.
• Basic understanding of units of measure.
• Strong math abilities.
• Able to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production line by watching for equipment malfunctions or product defects, loading raw materials into equipment, unloading work in progress, or finished product and moving materials to and from the equipment.
• Set up assigned equipment each day according to the posted production schedule and as required based on the product specifications.
• Disassemble at the close of each day for sanitation.
• Monitor equipment operations; troubleshoot and resolve basic malfunctions; notify supervision and maintenance when issues occur.
• Diagnose and repair common mechanical malfunctions on production equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisor and maintenance staff for preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate labor and materials records on work orders.
