Job summary

OSI Group is seeking a production associate to operate various types of machinery in a food manufacturing environment. You will set up equipment daily per the production schedule, monitor operations, calibrate systems, record temperatures and product parameters, and work with maintenance to prevent issues.

This individual contributor role requires 0-1 years of related experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform comparative analysis and make recommendations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and follow a designated recipe.
• Basic understanding of units of measure and their applications.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned equipment daily according to the production schedule and disassemble at close for sanitation.
• Monitor equipment operations; troubleshoot basic malfunctions and notify supervision/maintenance for significant issues.
• Record data, entry, and adjustments as needed.
• Calibrate systems to time, temperature, and equipment positions.
• Record and interpret temperatures related to the process and product parameters.
• Read, use, and record measurements from devices and sensors.
• Work with maintenance to implement preventative maintenance and best practices.
• Notify management of unusual or out-of-spec operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and comply with GMPs and safety policies.
