Job summary

Devon is seeking an Engineering Technologist to support professional engineers with data acquisition, validation, analysis and reporting across basins. This role emphasizes data management, model-building and cross-functional collaboration to drive meaningful insights.

You will work with large datasets, ensure data quality in multiple databases, and assist with LOE evaluations and production monitoring while adapting to a fast-paced environment and changing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas software.
  • Experience with large data sets and database QC/maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy.
  • Team player able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists engineering professionals with acquisition and preparation of data.
  • Monitors activity in basins and tracks in various databases.
  • Gathers technical data for manipulation and analysis projects.
  • Creates models and works with engineers to provide meaningful analysis.
  • Assists with research and analytical projects.
  • Monitors production and LOE evaluations.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The Engineering Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the professional engineering staff of the company. Duties may include functions such as loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing and reporting data.

Job Description
  • Assists engineering professionals with acquisition and preparation of hard copy or digital data
  • Assist engineering professionals with monitoring activity in various basins and tracks in various databases
  • Assists engineering professionals with monitoring activity in various basins and tracks in various databases
  • Gathers technical data for manipulation and analysis projects
  • Creates various models and works with petro professionals to provide meaningful analysis
  • Assists engineering professionals with various research and analytical projects
  • Monitors production and workover performance, AFE's and LOE evaluations
  • Other tasks as assigned
