Job summary

Devon Energy in Midland, Texas is seeking an Engineering Technologist to support engineers by loading, entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing and reporting data related to exploration and production operations.

You will assist with data acquisition, monitor basins and databases, develop models, and contribute to LOE evaluations and production performance tracking in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas software.
• Experience with large data sets and database QC/maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to various levels.

The Engineering Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the professional engineering staff of the company. Duties may include functions such as loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing and reporting data.

• Assist engineering professionals with monitoring activity in various basins and tracks in various databases


• Assists engineering professionals with monitoring activity in various basins and tracks in various databases


• Gathers technical data for manipulation and analysis projects


• Creates various models and works with petro professionals to provide meaningful analysis


• Assists engineering professionals with various research and analytical projects


• Monitors production and workover performance, AFE's and LOE evaluations


• Other tasks as assigned
