Job description

As a Production Technician, you will perform several production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules, and calculating production rates. The Production Technician serves as the liaison between the production unit and maintenance to drive maximum online time for productivity.

You will be located onsite at PPG's Lake Charles Plant, LA plant, reporting to the Production Area Manager. PPG/Qemetica offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will work with the Operators, Engineers, Supervisors, and Managers to understand the repairs or improvements needed in the unit.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians and Planners to ensure the work is scheduled and executed promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing and/or plant experience
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
