Job summary

Amtrak oversees railroad production units, managing manpower, scheduling, equipment, and supplies while ensuring safe work practices. The role supports in-location work and contributes across the Division to improve efficiency and reliability.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in railroad operations or supervision, with strong communication, regulatory knowledge, and presentation skills. This onsite role may involve travel; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• Plus 7 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety improvement through effective communication and oversight, including coaching.
• Direct and implement infrastructure maintenance projects and set production goals.
• Ensure work meets or exceeds Amtrak standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support development of efficient work methods and procedures to enhance safety and reliability.
• Monitor production reports and oversee administrative activities of the production unit.
