Meta is seeking Production Engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure powering our services at scale. You’ll own backend services, productionize code, and collaborate across product and infrastructure teams to support billions of users.

You will write high‑quality code, solve live production problems, and participate in on‑call rotations while helping others grow and improve system efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux and network fundamentals.
• 7+ years of coding experience in languages such as Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go.
• Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs.
• Experience with internet service architecture capacity planning.
• Knowledge of web technologies and internet service architectures (LAMP/MEAN, CDN, load balancing).
• Experience configuring and running infrastructure-level apps (Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own back-end services handling fleet management and core infrastructure components.
• Write and review code, land and productionize code, develop docs and capacity plans.
• Share on-call rotation and act as escalation contact for incidents.
• Collaborate with engineers to deploy production-grade code used by billions.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, scalability, performance.
• Establish ownership of systems with end-to-end understanding.
• Mentor teammates and multiply impact across teams.
