Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Site Reliability / Production Engineer to support production software systems, focusing on troubleshooting, monitoring, automation, deployment, and ensuring reliability and release readiness.

The role collaborates with QA and Software Engineers, builds automation for deployment and infrastructure in cloud and virtual environments, and drives continuous improvement of operations and release processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years in a related engineering, systems, or operations role.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI.
• Experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience with GitHub, including branching and tagging.
• Experience with systems and IT operations.
• Experience managing applications across virtual and cloud infrastructures.
• AWS and OpenStack experience preferred.
• Strong scripting and coding background.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions.
• Automate deployment and infrastructure processes.
• Support design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical systems.
• Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
• Recommend improvements to testing techniques and operational processes.
• Automate application deployment and infrastructure processes.
• Provision and manage applications in virtual and cloud environments.
• Partner closely with QA and Software Engineers in an operational capacity.
• Support continuous delivery of critical applications and systems.
• Work with deployment, network operations, systems administration, scripting, and coding.
