Job summary

Qcells North America is seeking a Production Engineer to plan, monitor, and improve recycling production operations at a PV module recycling facility. You will develop production plans based on material volumes, capacity, and priorities, while identifying opportunities to enhance throughput, equipment utilization, and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, recycling, process engineering, production engineering, or similar industrial operations.
• Experience with production planning, process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, capacity analysis, and KPI management; familiarity with shredders, grinders, conveyors, and material separation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on material volumes, inventory, capacity, manpower, and shipment needs.
• Monitor production performance against plan and analyze gaps, bottlenecks, downtime, and constraints.
• Track KPIs such as throughput, equipment utilization, downtime, yield/recovery, productivity, and cost.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase capacity and efficiency.
• Analyze process parameters and establish optimal operating conditions for shredding, grinding, screening, and material separation.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to address recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
