Job summary

Marotta Controls is seeking a Production Engineer to support the Power & Actuation Systems team in Parsippany, NJ. You will manage and improve production lines, develop methods, test equipment, and detailed work instructions to meet customer demand.

The ideal candidate has mid-to-senior manufacturing engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. The role requires collaboration across suppliers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with the assembly, design, and implementation of precision devices.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across organization levels.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve systems for new product introductions and existing production lines.
• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and production processes.
• Create and refine operation sheets, routers, set-up sheets, tooling sheets, and work instructions.
• Investigate, assess, and resolve production issues effectively and efficiently.
• Participate in root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to tooling design, material selection, and facility layout.
