Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Production Engineer in its Production Engineering Department to support capital projects, equipment, and operations on a NAM unit line. You will lead problem solving, continuous improvement, and collaboration to enhance safety, quality and productivity while meeting KPI targets.

The role requires strong organization and communication, knowledge of safety practices, project management experience, and readiness to travel and work non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with various teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office to analyze data and generate reports
• Machine safety circuit knowledge with validation on local equipment
• Experience in project management to develop, lead, prioritize, and report status
• Ability to quickly learn manufacturing processes and adapt to new situations
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays/shutdown periods to support projects
• Willingness to travel to support NAMC competitiveness

Responsibilities

• Manage model change capital projects with internal/external groups to meet KPI deadlines
• Provide capital and product support for powertrain projects and coordinate change points
• Use Toyota Business Practice (TBP) for root-cause analysis and implement countermeasures
• Collaborate in cross-functional groups to ensure processes meet takt time and OA targets
• Plan and implement production, precision measurement, and testing equipment for new projects
• Diagnose daily production problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement countermeasures
