Job summary

Toyota Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Production Engineer in the United States to support project, equipment, and operations on a unit production line. You will lead problem solving, continuous improvement, and collaborate with internal and external groups to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will implement engineering solutions, manage capital projects, and support powertrain initiatives while traveling as needed to support NAMC

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate across Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Facilities, NA PE and Vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Machine safety circuit knowledge with verification/validation on local equipment in North America.
  • Project management experience to lead, prioritize, milestone, and report status.
  • Ability to quickly learn manufacturing processes and adapt to new situations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage model change capital projects with internal/external groups to meet KPI deadlines.
  • Provide capital and product support for powertrain projects, including change point management and new tooling technologies.
  • Apply Toyota Business Practice (TBP) to troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement countermeasures.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional groups to ensure production processes meet takt time, quality, OA targets, and root cause analysis.
  • Plan and implement production, precision measurement, and testing equipment for new projects.
  • Identify daily production problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures.
