Job summary

Lubrizol is seeking a Production Engineer for our on-site 1st shift in Avon Lake, OH. You will support 24/7 batch chemical operations, driving safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant production while delivering sustainable solutions.

You will own batch sheets, process instructions, and controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, productivity, and quality. A strong foundation in chemical/mechanical engineering and four years in a chemical plant are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical).
• Minimum 4 years of operational experience within a chemical plant.
• Strong communication skills across multiple levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to ADVA & Oilkemia units with respect to technology, equipment, and process control.
• Own batch sheets, process instructions, and batch programming/control.
• Support Process Safety Management, including MOC, PHA, SOPs, and Process Safety Information.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to meet safety, productivity, quality, and cost goals.
• Assist in troubleshooting and train operating personnel in troubleshooting skills.
• Work with Reliability/Maintenance/Improve Process teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations for safety, quality, and reliability events.
• Manage off-spec materials and disposition plans.
• Lead targeted process and productivity improvement teams.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
• Close unit asset utilization and performance gaps.
