The Production Engineer role connects customer requirements with manufacturing execution, embedding within operations to drive efficiency through hands-on process planning, tooling design, and on-floor troubleshooting. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Experience with CAD software including Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Mechanical and CATIA preferred.
Minimum two years in automotive manufacturing preferred.
Experience with robotic teaching and programming.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

Implement countermeasures on mass production weld jigs to reduce internal scrap using 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis, and Pareto charts.
Develop process planning layouts, total productive maintenance requirements, and setup sheets for each tool.
Create and reteach robot programs during machine installation and jig consolidation.
Verify new weld cells meet design requirements and process layouts on receipt.
Coordinate new model weld cell trials with support groups to ensure OEE targets are met.
